Molchat Doma is a research and experimental project exploring brutalism as a language capable of generating emotion. Drawing from brutalist architecture and its translation into web design, the project investigates a collision between rigor and sensitivity, between hard surfaces and emotional response.
Through the design and development of the website for Dr. Francesco Barberi, emotional brutalism takes shape as a raw, essential and unmediated aesthetic—one that does not guide or reassure, but evokes, engages and leaves traces. A visual language that does not seek immediate approval, but asks to be experienced, inhabited and listened to in its silence.
